Web Design

There are many purposes for a web site, but there are a few things that all web sites should have, whether a personal site for friends and family, a place to promote your business, or a venue to sell your products or services.

  • Clean and Cohesive Design - It's sounds obvious, but a nice, eye-pleasing design is what keeps people at your site, and coming back...not giant pink flashing letters and twenty different fonts.
  • Easy Update and Maintenance - The biggest complaint we've heard from people is that they can't update their web site once it's built. We believe a web site should be dynamic...it should change often to keep people coming back to see what's new. We also believe you shouldn't have to call someone and wait for them to get around to updating your web site for you.
  • Intuitive Navigation - Few things are more frustrating than a site that makes you hit your browser's "Back" buttom time after time to get back to where you were, because that's the only way to get where you want to go. A well thought out and intuitive navigation system is a must for any site.
  • Good Content - Probably the hardest and most time-consuming part of putting together a site, but the most important! If you don't have something good to say or show, all the other stuff doesn't matter.

There are lots of things that make a nice web site, but if you have the above points covered, chances are you will have a nice site that will attract, and retain, visitors. Take a look at our Build Your Own section to get your site out of the past and into the present.
